Pollinator Garden Brine Blend
Sun dried sage and rosemary herbs from our pollinator garden are blended with sun dried lemon balm, calendula and nasturtium, chamomile, lavender then mixed with 6 oz pure Himalayan salt and 2 oz organic sugar.
Swarm's Brine Blend adds earthy garden flavors to holiday meat + fish!
To prepare brine:
Boil 1 quart water and dissolve salt blend, then cool. Note: You can save some brine blend to season turkey while cooking.
Depending on the size of your meat or fish, add 4 to 7 more quarts of water to either an oven roasting bag and refrigerate overnight – or – you can also brine the turkey in a picnic cooler (which frees up space in your refrigerator!).
Flip at least once while brining. Optional: add black peppercorns, bay leaves and garlic cloves.
